I Bet You!

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

Poker players are well known to bet on most bizarre things one could imagine. Earlier this year, Matt “hazards21″ Giannetti , a tournament poker regular, won upwards of $20,000 for spending 12 hours in a hotel pool. 1996 World Series of Poker main event winner Huck Seed once lost $50,000 for trying and failing to spend 18 hours in the ocean outside of an Atlantic City casino. Seed gave up after 3 hours. Howard Lederer, a vegetarian, once won $10,000 for simply eating a cheeseburger.

New prop bet began last week in Bellagio, where local poker pro Jay Kwik has promised to spend 30 consecutive days in a bathroom. Bathroom has some kitchen-equipments and a tv. However, Jay Kwik is not allowed to use a computer, and he can use cellphone for only 400 minutes in 30 day period.

There’s a live webcam outside the bathroom, and anyone who spots Jay breaking the rules, will be paid $500 reward. :-)
