Hello folks!
It’s been a while since last update, but no worries, we are not dead yet. Far from it!
As reported earlier, a movie based on book “Bringing Down the House”, called “21″ will be soon released, and here is official trailer:
Looks very similiar to canadian small-budget movie called “The Last Casino”, but I hope it’s not total rip-off…
This doesn’t have anything to do with biz or anything, but because i like gambling and all casino related movies, i am gonna mention it here anyway.
Most of you have probably heard of legendary MIT blackjack team who beat casinos at blackjack world wide. The origin of MIT blackjack team was a MIT minicourse called “How to Gamble if you Must”, which taught basic blackjack strategy and cardcounting methods. The team and its successors operated from 1979 through the beginning of 21st century. Estimations how much group[s] made money are somewhere between $1 million to $10 million.
Now there is Hollywood movie coming out, titled “21″, which dramatises ups and downs of MIT blackjack team. The movie is based on bestselling book “Bringing Down the House” by Ben Mezrich and stars actors like Kate Bosworth, Kevin Spacey and Laurence Fishburne. Movie premiere is set to late March 2008.
