You don’t always need guns or masks to rob a bank - sometimes you don’t even have to be physically there. This happened in Sweden, only to be foiled by an alert bank employee.

Bank heist was noticed in August 2007, when an employee of Swedbank noticed cursor of his computer to move on it’s own. After examining the computer, employee discovered a cable connected to his computer linked to a remote control device fastened under his desk. Bank employee immediatly pulled off the plugs from the computer. According to the police, it was only matter of seconds before robbers could have completed a transfer of several hundred million swedish kronors ( 100 Mil SEK = 15.6 Mil USD ).

According to police the device used to hijack bank computer was highly sophisticated, and had required a great deal of technical skills. Device was apparently installed in previous break-in earlier in same month, during which nothing had been stolen.
